Theatres and Cinemas for Kids

Theatres & Cinemas for Family Entertainment

When it comes to a family trip out, the cinema is definitely a firm favourite – it's right up there with bowling and burgers! Over the years, we've taken countless family parties to cinemas all round the region. The most popular destinations are Kirkstall Fields, Birstall and Glasshoughton, although of course we're happy to discuss your requirements wherever you'd like to go.
If the trip is for a special occasion or you simply want to go that extra mile, why not enquire about our limousine? It seats eight passengers, has CD/DVD on board and our price includes complementary soft drinks for the children, some chocolates and a bottle of bubbly for the adults.

Looking for cinema with extras? Try the huge contemporary National Media Museum in the heart of Bradford. As well as ten free galleries covering photography, TV and animation, you'll find two cinemas plus a fantastic IMAX space that offers an exciting programme of 3D movies and blockbuster films, as well as Family Film Fundays.

For something a bit different but truly traditional, how about a trip to the theatre? Yorkshire has some fantastic venues to choose from and you can offer the kids a whole different experience, away from the big screen. They're great for the ever-popular pantomimes during the festive season (take your ear plugs, mums and dads!) and they also offer a whole variety of shows for children during the rest of the year.

The West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds, for example, had a packed house for the timeless favourite, Alice in Wonderland. At the Theatre Royal in York, you can even book to take a back-stage tour. Older children will enjoy hearing all about the theatre's resident ghost!

Of course, theatres are not all about plays – there are plenty of music, dance and comedy performances for the whole family to enjoy. Unlike cinema chains, theatres have their own identities and many, like the Grade II listed Alhambra in Bradford, are well-known landmarks.

Over in Scarborough on the east coast, the Stephen Joseph Theatre not only performs 'theatre in the round' but also holds family workshops as part of the resort's annual Coastival event. Anyone for clogging or rap?

Whatever your choice, be it cinema or theatre, by limo, just contact us with your plans and we'll be happy to give you a quote.
