Theme Parks for Kids

Theme Parks - a fantastic place to take the kids!

At PCL we've been taking families to theme parks for over 15 years and customers return to us again and again, knowing they can depend on a fully professional, friendly service. They hardly ever ask if they're there yet! For smaller parties, we also have an 8-str VW minibus available.

Our top three destinations are all just a couple of hours or so from Leeds and are always very popular for family days out. We also cover theme parks further afield, for those celebrating special occasions, wanting a next-day return, or taking a holiday. Our driver will load everything on board for you. If you want to bring along a child seat, we're happy for you to do so.

Not surprisingly, Alton Towers comes top of our customers' list. Younger visitors can't wait to try the magical attractions in Cloud Cuckoo Land, such as Wobble World, or dive into Adventure Land, where they can clamber on board the Squirrel Nutty Ride and travel through the trees in their very own acorn. Meanwhile, The Beastie gives them the chance to try a jolly green rollercoaster, and over in the Waterpark, there's oceans of fun on offer in the heated Caribbean lagoon, which is open all year round.

Little ones visiting Drayton Manor are always itching to get into Thomas Land. This exciting adventure area has over a dozen rides linked to Thomas the Tank Engine - the Troublesome Trucks Coaster is always a big favourite! Drayton Manor has acres of open land zoo as well, where the kids can see everything from meerkats to big cats, parrots to penguins. In autumn, the theme park holds amazing firework displays, and it rounds off the year with some truly Magical Christmas events.

Even closer to Leeds is another firm favourite, Flamingoland. This popular theme park, set in beautiful North Yorkshire scenery, offers great family fun. Kids love the colourful Balloon Race ride and can't wait to have a go in the Junior Driving School. Splash Battle is a wonderfully whacky water ride, packed with loads of laughs. And, when it's time for you to take a bit of a breather, you can enjoy a coffee in the waterfront café, watching your children still burning up their endless energy on HMS Bouncy.

Like Drayton Manor, Flamingoland also has a zoo, with plenty of fascinating animals on show. The monorail, cruising gently above the animal enclosures, gives the kids a great view of camels, emus, baboons, meerkats and much more.

It's not hard to see why theme parks are so popular with our customers. Many of our parties have even found that, by booking in advance through their chosen theme park's website, they can buy a group ticket with up to 50% off!

Most UK theme parks offer family accommodation on site. At Flamingoland you'll find luxury log cabins right on the doorstep, as well as great camping facilities, while down at Drayton Manor their new hotel opens in 2011. For real adventure, the Alton Towers Resort even offers a Pirate Weekend package, including buckets of swashbuckling entertainment, from fantastic fancy dress prizes to free entry to the Waterpark.

Whatever you choose to do, simply tells us your ideas and start planning that great trip to a theme park – the kids will just love it!
